cs program could use improvement but good school, w community

I’ve been waiting over 8 months to hear back from Laurier University regarding my application, and I still haven’t received any response. The lack of communication is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I have graduated for 5 years, and keep receiving calls from Laurier every year, asking me to make a donation to the school. I made one in my first time, they sent me a link to put all my card info and request me to put all my info in while I am on the phone. I was saying I would do that after I hanging up, and they were just saying a lot of words to refuse, like a scam. In the second year，they asked me to set the donation as monthly… I have no choice but to block the number…

As a former crown-ward there's a lot of support from counseling to budgeting and even some financial support. Im only in my first semester but its amazing and im so greatful to be a Golden Hawk they care about students and their future. Not many schools can say the same. They also have many events that promote continuing education in other schools I never thought id get to get a bachelor's degree in Criminology and Anthropology but now im well on my way.

I love Laurier!!! It is a fantastic university. It set me up incredibly for my post graduate studies, and provided me with ample opportunities to grow my resume and develop vital skills for real life. I was able to maintain a great GPA, allowing me to graduate early and head into a professional school, while also granting me a degree (BSc) for the credits I completed. This school sets you up perfectly - at least in the health science program and entering the medical field afterwards. I love Laurier, and I am forever grateful for everything it has provided me!
