Great school! Cleanliness is maintained and has lots of parking- both for students and visitors. There's a monthly payment ~$25/month for the student parking. Cafeteria has great options and affordable. If you are looking to get in the trades visit the MITT website, lots of options! School has many events, clubs, etc. that student can join; close to major stores aswell!

As a student in the hairstyling program at the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) in Winnipeg, I found that my overall experience was negatively affected by Stephen Strecker, a member of the staff. While the instructors in the program were knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated to helping students succeed, my interactions with him were often very frustrating. There were multiple situations where it felt like he targeted students for minor issues or things that did not clearly violate policy. His approach often came across as unnecessarily controlling and focused on enforcing authority rather than supporting the learning environment. Because of these experiences, what should have been a very positive and enjoyable time in the hairstyling program was significantly impacted. I believe this role requires someone who can support students and contribute to a respectful and encouraging environment. He should be replaced with someone else.

I wish I had read the reviews before enrolling. They placed me into the second semester of the program when the first semester was the foundation. By entering in the second semester, I was already a whole semester behind. It honestly felt like I was just a number so they wouldn’t get shut down — but that’s happening anyway. This school isn’t designed for Canadians starting with zero experience. It seems designed for immigrants who already have education and a background in the field. Starting with no experience put me at a major disadvantage.

Please Any international student who got into Manitoba in 2025, I have a question? I wanted to know if you paid all the tuition fee for the amount of years you signed before entry? Did anyone, please help me out....
