I had a very bad experience with this college. When I took admission, they never informed me that if I scored low on the English placement test, I would be required to complete four English courses. This information was also not mentioned on their website. When I checked my course subjects online, it showed only two English courses. Because of this, I had to complete four English subjects within my two-semester program. On top of that, they charged me extra fees to compress the course. When I completed one English course in my third semester, they charged me around $2300, even though the actual fee for that course was only $1400. They told me that if I didn’t pay the full amount, I wouldn’t be allowed to complete the course. My actual tuition fee for two semesters was around $20,000, but I ended up paying approximately $23,000. Additionally, I was told that the first two English courses (COMM 131 and COMM 141) do not count towards grades at all. When I initially took the placement test, I specifically asked whether it would affect my course, and they told me it was just a basic test and would not impact anything. Based on that, I took the test the same day. However, when my score came out low, I was informed that I would have to complete four English courses. I even asked if I could retake the test, but they refused. I also offered to pay again for the test, but they still did not allow me to retake it. I completed one of the English courses in just two months through compression, but without my permission, the college enrolled me in a 12-month insurance plan. When I questioned this, they said it was an automatic system deduction. Later, when I went to request a refund after completing the course, they refused, saying the deadline had already passed. Not only did they waste an entire year of my time, but they also blamed me for not applying for the refund on time. After wasting one year at this college, I decided to leave.

I paid for a locker rental on January 12th and have been using it consistently for three weeks now. Yesterday, I discovered my lock had been cut and replaced. When I spoke with Enrollment Services, I was informed that a system glitch on the college’s end failed to register my selection, allowing the locker to be reassigned to another student. While I was told to simply "pick another locker," there are no suitable options near my labs available anymore. As a 4th-semester student, I followed the rental process correctly. I should not be disadvantaged and forced to use a distant locker and pay for a replacement lock due to a technical error on the college's part so I requested the following: Restoration of my locker as I paid for and selected the locker first, and replacement of my lock. Today I get an email saying they will not be giving my locker back (so what happened to first come first serve?) and will only replace my lock. ( Now I'm curious to see when they will replace it and how long they will let me have my stuff unprotected in the new locker). I am very dissatisfied with how these people handle things and this is the second time in the 3 weeks of this semester that this school messes up my things. Such a disgrace!

I've been attending Centennial College's Progress Campus for Mechanical Engineering Technology Design , and I must say, it's been an incredible experience! Pros: - State-of-the-art facilities, including modern classrooms, labs, and equipment - Experienced and supportive instructors who genuinely care about student success - Diverse and vibrant campus community, with plenty of opportunities to connect with peers and professionals - Convenient location, with easy access to public transportation and amenities Cons: - Some areas of the campus can get quite crowded, making it difficult to find study spaces Overall: Centennial College's Progress Campus has exceeded my expectations. The college offers a wide range of programs, and the faculty and staff are dedicated to helping students achieve their goals. I've had numerous opportunities to engage in hands-on learning, networking, and extracurricular activities, which have greatly enhanced my academic and personal growth. If you're considering attending Centennial College, I highly recommend the Progress Campus. It's a fantastic institution with a lot to offer!

I recently took the CELPIP exam at Centennial College, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The exam environment was not what I expected, and several issues stood out that made the process uncomfortable. First, the invigilator was not accommodating at all. Instead of offering multiple pages for rough work, I was given only one page at a time. This slowed me down and created unnecessary tension during the exam. It would have been much more helpful to have extra pages available for rough notes and brainstorming. Additionally, I was disturbed multiple times throughout the exam, which I found very unprofessional and disruptive. At one point, I asked for water, only to be told I would have to go outside the exam room to get it. This seemed unreasonable, especially since I was not allowed to carry a water bottle with me inside the room. The invigilator’s response was extremely rude and unhelpful, making a stressful situation even worse. Overall, my experience at Centennial College for the CELPIP exam was very negative. The lack of proper accommodations and the rude attitude from the invigilator made the whole experience unpleasant, and I would not recommend this location for anyone looking to take the CELPIP exam.
