My family engaged Gabriella in mid-April to prepare applications for proof of citizenship for 8 of us: my wife and me, our three children, and our three grandchildren. These were fairly complicated applications; my wife has a great-grandfather who was born in Quebec and I have a great-grandfather and great-grandmother (married to each other) who were born in Nova Scotia. When we learned it would take an unknown amount of time get a certified baptism record from BAnQ (and then a birth certificate from DEC), and also learned we aren’t going to get birth certificates for my great-grandparents from Nova Scotia Vital Records, we decided we wanted to submit our applications as soon as possible. Gabriella accelerated the process to ensure we got our applications submitted before the end of May. Throughout the process, Gabriella did an excellent job keeping us informed about what she was doing on our applications and making sure we knew precisely what she needed from us to move forward. Although we don’t have birth certificates for any of our Canadian ancestors, we did have lots of other supporting documentation to demonstrate their Canadian citizenship. Gabriella did a great job building a thorough, convincing case for our citizenship status using that other documentation. Gabriella did a great job for us on this engagement.
